Ambassadors of the Environment
With activities for kids and adults alike, this family resort’s Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment introduces guests to the natural wonders and rich cultural traditions of the Hawaiian Islands. Throughout these uniquely designed excursions, Maui’s ecological resources become a natural classroom and living laboratory in which adults, families and kids learn while having fun at the same time. Through exploration and learning, Ambassadors provide meaningful experiences that imbue them with a deep appreciation and respect for nature, as well as an understanding of how to live more environmentally responsible back home. Each Kapalua Ambassadors of the Environment adventure begins upon arrival at the Ambassadors center, with unique environmental features and authentic cultural artifacts. This is the setting for the discovery of sustainable living with innovative examples of ecologically responsible living, including native flora, water-saving features indoors and much more. At the heart of the program there are four principles: everything is connected; there is no waste in nature; everything runs on energy; and biodiversity is good. Please note Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment closes seasonally over select dates October through mid-December. Seasonal closure dates will vary. Please contact the Ambassadors for more information. Schedule and pricing are subject to change without notice.
